“Feeling real is more than existing; it is a way of finding a way to exist as oneself… and to have a self into which to retreat for relaxation.” Donald Woods Winnicott
Hi, I’m Jtinder and a warm welcome to my site. I hope you find the information helpful. As you begin this new process, it may feel daunting reaching out to someone unfamiliar, particularly a counsellor.
In our work, I believe the therapeutic relationship we build is important. I am committed to working with you by providing a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space for you to talk about your thoughts, feelings and fears. We will work together and take the time to help you explore your concerns so you feel able to deal with them. If you would like to reach out, you can use the contact sheet or email/message me and I will get back to you.
Why have counselling? Counselling/therapy is available for a range of reasons. Sometimes it can help in managing recent life events such as bereavement, job loss or relationship difficulties. For some, it is a space to explore patterns or feelings of unhappiness that may be stopping them from living a happier life. Perhaps you feel lost and unable to have your voice heard. Friends and family can be helpful to talk to, but it may feel as though this is not enough. This is when counselling can provide an opportunity and space for you to talk to someone confidentially to work out what you want or need.
